Prohibited Items
* Tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs are not permitted on the premises.
* Weapons and explosives (including fireworks) are not permitted on the premises.
Visitor Policy
Each group will provide the camp with a list of all guests using the camp for the scheduled weekend/week one week prior to the camp. If any guests will be arriving late, please advise the camp director of their names and approximate arrival time. Any visitors or late arrivals must check in at the camp office.
Dress Code
* Please wear shoes at all times.
* Please dress modestly; no short shorts or midriff tops.
* No undergarments should be visible at any time.
* Swimwear is only permitted on the waterfront and should be a modest one-piece swimsuit. A T-shirt will be provided for anyone who does not have a one-piece suit.
While 'modest' is subject to interpretation, appropriate dress will be left to the discretion of the camp director in conversation with the group leader.
Boundaries
Our camp extends from the ball field near the camp entrance to the shores of the lake. The chapel is our border on the boys side and the fire circle called 'Home in the Woods' is our border on the girls side. The staff will go over these boundaries with your group when you arrive if you are unfamiliar with the camp.
* No children are permitted on the waterfront unattended. Beyond the gazebo, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
* Please do not climb on or walk across the retaining wall near the pavilion.
* The sewage plant, basement of directorss cabin, shed near the camp store, and rear basement of the lodge are off-limits.
* Wyrick Lodge is staff housing and is just for camp personnel. Please respect the staffs privacy.
These boundaries are established for the enjoyment and safety of all the groups. Thank you in advance for abiding by these boundaries.
Emergency Procedures
Please familiarize yourself with these emergency procedures and share them with anyone who will be attending you weekend.
* The bell, located outside the kitchen door is used to gather everyone into the lodge for meals, meetings, etc. A long continuous ringing of the bell, often used when dangerous weather conditions occur, is the signal for an emergency. The basement of the lodge, equipped with emergency lighting and a generator, is the safest place to take shelter in case of a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning. When this continuous ringing occurs, drop everything and come to the lodge basement immediately.
* Emergency numbers are posted by the kitchen phone and in the directors cabin. These numbers will summon the police, emergency squad, or fire department. Lifeguards have first aid and life-saving training. Please alert them immediately if there is a problem. They will do their best to stabilize the situation until professional help arrives.
* Fire extinguishers and first aid kits are placed strategically around the camp. Our staff will bring these to your attention when you meet with them upon your arrival. We do ask that you heed their warnings about fire safety, and properly supervise the waterfront at all times.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask our staff. They are here to make your weekend as enjoyable and safe as possible.
