Strategies

1. Employ creation to bear witness to God’s truth.
Camp Presmont has been blessed with a beautiful place to interact with God. Jesus was a master at using the natural world to illustrate spiritual truths. We carry on the tradition by basing our ministry around sharing the good news through out-of-doors activities.
2. Provide hope through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ultimately Jesus is the only sure and lasting source of hope. Personal faith in Jesus Christ gives youth the courage to face problems and live their lives in God’s way.
3. Teach the Bible as the true word of God.
The Bible holds the answers to all of life’s important questions. Though many have tried to question its authority and authenticity, its truth has withstood the test of time. Understanding and applying the Bible is vital to living a healthy, balanced and fulfilled life.
4. Embody and demonstrate Christ’s love, compassion and respect to those whom we serve.
Jesus showed us how to reach out to our youth. He treated the children of his day with dignity and respect. He taught, “Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” (Matt. 18:5)
5. Address emotional needs through Biblical counseling and peer support groups.
Through counseling and peer support groups that focus on the truth of God’s Word, help youth break through layers of denial and self-deception and learn how to apply the principles of forgiveness in their lives.
6. Prevent future problems through youth programs providing Biblical lifestyle training; positive peer groups, leadership training and recreation.
Throughout our 50-year history we have believed that the most effective approach to dealing with life’s problems is prevention. Presmont uses caring, Christian adults as teachers, coaches, mentors, and role models to help youth find the right path in life.
